About Us:
We are based in Fountainbridge Library on Dundee Street in the heart of Edinburgh, near the new Fountain Park Leisure
Complex. Fountainbridge Writers' Group was set up in 1996 by Alec Dehaney and Mike Ford, with the generous support and
encouragement of the library staff.
Although the writers’ group has seen a variety of change over the years, it still holds a regular core membership of about
8 – 12 people. They come from a wide range of countires; USA to New Zealand, South Africa to Glasgow.
Since it conception the group has succefuly published ‘Voices from the Bridge’ which immediately sold out in early 2000.
Getting a taste of success the group lead at the time by Janette published ‘if the wind changes’ at the end of December
2002.
